He also worked for WR Grace’s Technical Service division and as
Technical Superintendent at the Lake Charles, LA catalyst
manufacturing facility.
Bob Ludolph has over 32 years of refining experience in fuels and lubricating oil processes. He launched and continued his career with Sunoco, a large independent U. S.
petroleum refining company. In 1978, focusing on the lubricating oil and petroleum wax business, Bob provided technical support and project leadership for numerous
process improvement initiatives and new process development.
His process optimization work experience covers all of the business unit processes (hydrotreating, hydrocracking, solvent extraction/deasphalting, dewaxing and wax deoiling). In 1985, Bob shifted his attention to fuels processing, focusing on the catalytic cracking process area for the next 25 years. He ultimately became the subject matter expert for Sunoco and developed experience with eight FCCs of design (FCC, millisecond and moving-bed) and licensor diversity. Bob also developed process know-how in the FCC feedstock hydrotreating, catalytic gasoline desulfurization, alkylation and etherification areas. Bob has held various technical positions in the Research & Development, Refinery, and Refining Staff departments, supporting as many as eight company facility locations. |
